Come with us and discover the essence of the ancient capital of the Algarve. Walk through the streets of this ancient city and find the traces of the people who passed through here.
Let's start by visiting the local market and finding the best products that are produced in the region. During the tour we will contemplate the architecture and interpret the diversity of styles.
Upon entering the city inside the wall, we will discover the archaeological wealth that’s exists here. We will enter the Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic buildings in the Algarve, and enter the Castle, one of the most peculiar Muslim fortifications in Portugal, built in red sandstone.
AlgarvianRoots offers unique experiences of sustainable tourism in the Algarve. Based in Ecotourism, our experiences intend to conserve and promote the natural and cultural heritage, keep the local people well-being, simultaneously involving interpretation and education about our local surrounding.

Booking information
The activity must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Changes are accepted up to 48 hours, but the new date will have to be changed to a deadline with a minimum of 24 hours in advance, unless there is space in one of the experiences already confirmed.

Cancellation, return and refund policy
(1) Cancellation of the activity by the customer
Cancellation of the experience by the customer up to 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer is refunded with the full amount of the purchase.
Cancellation of the experience by the customer less than 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer doesn’t receive a refund.

(3) Cancellation of services by AlgarvianRoots
All activities have a minimum number of participants, depending on the activity. AlgarvianRoots reserves the right to cancel a service in case there is not the minimum number of participants, in case of adverse weather conditions, in case of a situation that jeopardizes the safety of the service (for example: forest fire, thunderstorm, storm), mechanical problem in the means of transport that makes it impossible to carry out the activity or other unforeseen circumstances of force majeure.
In case of cancellation by AlgarvianRoots, the customer has the option of choosing another date or receiving a 100% refund.
