The experience starts at 9:00, in the meeting point in the AlgarvianRoots headquarters (check the contacts for the location) and it will finish at 5:00 pm in the same place.

When the participants arrive to the meeting point, a brief presentation of the activity will be made by the local guide and we will continue in the company's own vehicle.

The experience takes place on the highest mountain of the Algarve, Monchique. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean gives this mountain a unique microclimate. Streams flow and water is an abundant resource. The mountain is known for its forest, its resources and for containing unique species.
Monchique has a large network of hiking trails. To carry out this experience, there will be 3 options for routes that will be chosen taking into account the preferences of our clients.

After the hike, nothing better than a break to replenish your strength. For lunch you will try the Portuguese gastronomy. Here you will enjoy the typical regional products from the Algarve hills.

In the afternoon you will make a make a pottery a workshop with a local artist

After completing the art experience, we will return to the initial meeting point. The experience will finish in the AlgarvianRoots headquarters.

Terms and conditions:

The experience must be booked at least 72 hours in advance, in order do confirm the artist availability to guarantee the workshop.

Cancellations and changes accepted up to 48 hours before the event.

Changes are accepted up to 48 hours, but the new date will have to be changed to a deadline with a minimum of 72 hours in advance, unless there is space in one of the experiences already confirmed.

The experience may be conditioned or canceled due to bad weather conditions, such as a lightning storm or rain storm (winter and spring) or wildfire (summer and autumn).

The booking will be automatically cancelled if the reserve does not have a minimum of 3 clients 24 hours before the experience beginning.

The activity must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Changes are accepted up to 48 hours, but the new date will have to be changed to a deadline with a minimum of 24 hours in advance, unless there is space in one of the experiences already confirmed.

Cancellation, return and refund policy
(1) Cancellation of the activity by the customer
Cancellation of the experience by the customer up to 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer is refunded with the full amount of the purchase.
Cancellation of the experience by the customer less than 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer doesn’t receive a refund.

(3) Cancellation of services by AlgarvianRoots
All activities have a minimum number of participants, depending on the activity. AlgarvianRoots reserves the right to cancel a service in case there is not the minimum number of participants, in case of adverse weather conditions, in case of a situation that jeopardizes the safety of the service (for example: forest fire, thunderstorm, storm), mechanical problem in the means of transport that makes it impossible to carry out the activity or other unforeseen circumstances of force majeure.
In case of cancellation by AlgarvianRoots, the customer has the option of choosing another date or receiving a 100% refund.
