The experience takes place in the natural park of the southwest Alentejo and Vicentina coast in Salema. The walk stretches along the magnificent coast cliffs in full contact with the Atlantic Ocean. As we walk, we will pass through several historic villages of fishermen who used to live here. This coast was the scene of naval battles and the forts that protected the villages will allow us to relive the history that happened here.

These waters continue to be an important resource for fishermen and shellfish gatherers, but also for those looking for the best waves, surfers who come from all over the world to explore this coast.

After completing the guided hike, we will return to the initial meeting point.

Booking information
The activity must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Changes are accepted up to 48 hours, but the new date will have to be changed to a deadline with a minimum of 24 hours in advance, unless there is space in one of the experiences already confirmed.

Cancellation, return and refund policy
(1) Cancellation of the activity by the customer
Cancellation of the experience by the customer up to 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer is refunded with the full amount of the purchase.
Cancellation of the experience by the customer less than 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer doesn’t receive a refund.

(3) Cancellation of services by AlgarvianRoots
All activities have a minimum number of participants, depending on the activity. AlgarvianRoots reserves the right to cancel a service in case there is not the minimum number of participants, in case of adverse weather conditions, in case of a situation that jeopardizes the safety of the service (for example: forest fire, thunderstorm, storm), mechanical problem in the means of transport that makes it impossible to carry out the activity or other unforeseen circumstances of force majeure.
In case of cancellation by AlgarvianRoots, the customer has the option of choosing another date or receiving a 100% refund.
