Guided hike, ecotourism, cork.

The experience starts at 9:00 am, at the AlgarvianRoots headquarters in Silves (check the contacts and find the location). A brief presentation of the guided hike will be made by the local guide. After driving to the hike track in the company's car, we will hike for around 2 hours (9:30am - 11:30pm). Once the hike is completed, we will drive to the cork storage and visit the place for around 40 min. After that we will drive back to AlgarvianRoots headquarters and finish the experience at 1pm.

Come with us and discover the cork oak, this ancestral tree completely adapted to the region's climate. We will walk through an area of Mediterranean forest, with a large number of specimens of cork oaks and observe its biodiversity.

Cork is a natural material explored in a sustainable way that has been used by man for hundreds of years for countless uses.

We will visit a cork warehouse and see in first-hand how cork is treated and chosen according to its qualities.

Booking information
The activity must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Changes are accepted up to 48 hours, but the new date will have to be changed to a deadline with a minimum of 24 hours in advance, unless there is space in one of the experiences already confirmed.

Cancellation, return and refund policy
(1) Cancellation of the activity by the customer
Cancellation of the experience by the customer up to 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer is refunded with the full amount of the purchase.
Cancellation of the experience by the customer less than 48 hours before the start of the service: the customer doesn’t receive a refund.

(3) Cancellation of services by AlgarvianRoots
All activities have a minimum number of participants, depending on the activity. AlgarvianRoots reserves the right to cancel a service in case there is not the minimum number of participants, in case of adverse weather conditions, in case of a situation that jeopardizes the safety of the service (for example: forest fire, thunderstorm, storm), mechanical problem in the means of transport that makes it impossible to carry out the activity or other unforeseen circumstances of force majeure.
In case of cancellation by AlgarvianRoots, the customer has the option of choosing another date or receiving a 100% refund.
